Hello there, I'm Aaron. A self-taught Product Designer based in Toronto, Canada.
I'm currently up-skilling, working closely with mentor, Cat Lo, to implement new frameworks, build a component library from scratch that is inline with branding, and bouncing between different mediums of ambiguity to create a beautiful user experience from 0.
Previously, I owned and led the end-to-end design process of a 0-1 product's MVP development cycle at a web3 startup, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to accelerate development speed, and facilitated workshops to involve all team members in the design process.
" I believe products should be simple enough for people to use without reading a thick manual. For me, a good design is something you can successfully explain to your mother over the phone. "

Outside of Design
When I'm not designing, you'll find me studying for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test), watching a Japanese Drama Series, or volunteering at the Japanese Canadian Culture Centre.
I'm a recovering sneakerhead who is trying to minimize his time on StockX, SneakerNews and Hypebeast. I've amassed a collection over the years that is enough to provide for the next 3 generations of my bloodline.
I'm also a huge fan of interior design and home decor, scrolling through catalogues and mood-boards to bookmark future purchases that I've decided on.
